Ypsilanti Township
Story
Ypsilanti Charter Township has been awarded more than $5.9 million in acquisition and development grants from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund.
“The grants awarded to Ypsilanti Township from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund have had a definite impact on resident quality of life and access to
the outdoors. Projects completed with the assistance of the Trust Fund include a playground, trails, connective boardwalks, a golf course, canoe/kayak access, and
the addition of more than 470 acres of land to the park system.
These projects would not have been possible without the financial support from the MNRTF. The Trust Fund program has helped protect our natural open spaces, while
providing resources and enhanced amenities that contribute to making Ypsilanti Township a more attractive place to work and live.”
